Professionals contribute to topical matters in the form of online conferences between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm. The M2 students of the Business Law course give a presentation on a subject decided with the speaker, and then a debate takes place with all the participants.
The next conferences will be held in November and December on the following topics [in French]:
• 17 November 2020: European company practice with Ms Cathiard, a Luxembourg lawyer specialising in cross-border mergers and European companies, and Business Law students, who will speak on Total’s recently adopted status as a European company.
• 24 November 2020: Personal data and connected vehicles, Marine Brogli, CEO of the company DPO Consulting.
• 25 November 2020: Marketplace Law, with Mr. Haas, founder of Cabinet Haas & Associés, specialising in intellectual property and new technology law.
• 2 December 2020: New business models for law firms with Stéfane Lefer, CEO of Oxygen, a company specialising in digital transformation.
On 19 October, an initial conference was held on the subject “Corporate waste management: a constraint or an opportunity in terms of CSR?” This was coordinated by the lobbyist Nathalie Gamain, a specialist in environmental matters in Brussels.
“The teaching model for the Business Law Masters has changed this year: in the M2, it is now geared more towards the digital side and the collaborative economy. In this context, a new introductory course on professional practice is now provided, with contributions by a dozen professionals in the form of online conferences.Students in other programmes or courses, graduates and possibly staff and teachers: if the topics interest you, feel free to sign up!” explains Isabelle Bufflier, academic director for the double degree in Business Law, in partnership with the ULCO (Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale).
