The ThinkForward lecture series, an exchange of viewpoints that is needed more than ever

Published on 12 November 2020

Three times per semester, the ThinkForward lecture series, organised as part of the PGE by Professors Frédéric Munier and Rodolphe Desbordes, invites prominent figures to SKEMA to share their thoughts about the world. The first semester 2020-2021 has already been very rich.

Live from Beirut, Zahra Hankir, an editor and senior reporter specialised in the Middle East, shared her experience of being a female journalist covering that region. She answered questions from Stéphanie Chasserio (co-holder of the SKEMA Women & Business Chair, Professor of Management and Human Resources).

The ThinkForward lecture series will continue on 24 November 2020, at 6.30pm by LiveEvent, with a talk by Sergei Guriev.
Sergei Guriev was Chief Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development from 2016-2019. With the students, he will analyse the new forms of repression adopted by autocratic countries to control their population in the digital era.

The conferences thus establish an enlightening dialogue between the disciplines in order to bring meaning to the world that surrounds us. Consilience rekindles the idea that knowledge is a constant and necessary conquest.
